Welcome to INBOUND 2017. We’re so glad you’ll be joining us. For complete details on the terms that apply to registration and other important stuff, please read through the below.
Things happen. We understand. Here’s how cancellation refunds work:
To cancel your registration (and get your refund, if applicable), you will need to log into your registration account and cancel, or notify us in writing at email@example.com.
If you’re entitled to a refund, the amount refunded will be based on the fees paid for the registration(s) you cancel and will be refunded to your original payment method – we don’t issue checks for refunds. These cancellation terms apply regardless of the reason that you cancel (even if you unfortunately need to cancel for personal reasons, weather conditions or other stuff that’s out of your control.)
Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for canceling your own hotel and travel reservations.
If you can’t attend, but know someone who really wants to be at INBOUND 2017, you can transfer your registration to them for free until June 30, 2017. After that, there will be a $100 fee for transferring your registration if it is transferred on or before September 15, 2017. After September 15, 2017, though, you can no longer transfer your registration.
If you have used a promotional code to register for a Community Pass at INBOUND, your Community Pass is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, rebate, credit or makegood if you are no longer able to attend.
Please remember that transferring your registration does not automatically transfer your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for transferring your own hotel and travel reservations.
Once you complete purchase of your registration, the purchase and rate is considered final and won’t be adjusted later. To be eligible to receive a student rate, we’ll need to see a valid student ID. If you don’t show a valid student ID, you won’t be eligible to receive the student rate, and we will charge you the full registration fee. Promotional, coupon, discount or similar codes may not be used for the purchase of a VIP Pass.
You’ll need to wear your registration badge at all times when you’re at INBOUND 2017.
To pick up your registration badge, all registration fees must be paid in full and you’ll need to show a government issued form of photo ID, like a driver’s license or passport. The name on your photo identification must match the name on your registration badge. If you’ve had a recent change in your name (like if you got married, for example) and your registration may not match your photo ID, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can make a note in your registration.
Individuals must pick up their own registration badge. This means that you can’t have a co-worker or friend pick up your registration badge for you (and you can’t pick up theirs for them.)
If your registration badge is lost or destroyed, there’s a $100 fee for issuing a replacement registration badge.
Registration badges use RFID technology. You may be required to scan your registration badge to enter certain sessions. Among other things, this helps us to track and provide information on capacity, as well as make sure folks have the right access to attend a session.
Attendees must be 18 years of age to attend INBOUND 2017 and all related events. If you’d like to request an exception to this, you’ll need to send your request in writing to email@example.com.
You have to be at least 21 years of age to drink alcohol, and you’ll show us a valid ID if we ask. Of course, all drinking should be done responsibly.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDING
Unless we notify you otherwise, then you’re permitted to take photos, videos or audio recordings (collectively, “recordings”) at INBOUND 2017, as long as you comply with these terms.
Attendees will not be permitted to take recordings using professional camera equipment, such as DSLR cameras, lights or tripods, however using a camera phone or a smaller digital camera is fine. If you have INBOUND media credentials, you will be permitted to use professional equipment, provided it has been approved and tagged by a member of the INBOUND media team. You can request media credentials at inbound.com/inbound17/media.
These recordings might include content or material that is protected by copyrights, trademarks, or other rights which we own or license. So, other than for your personal use, you are not allowed to copy, reproduce, publish, or distribute the recordings without our written permission.
We allow – and even encourage you – to disseminate the recordings through social media (like tweeting, or posting to Facebook or Instagram), as long as the clips aren’t more than 1 minute in length and you are otherwise in compliance with these terms. Here are a couple of examples of what’s allowed: tweeting “#INBOUND17 = the best time ever!” with a picture of you at Club INBOUND, and posting a 15 second clip of Brian Halligan & Dharmesh Shah’s Keynote on Instagram. Here are a couple of examples of what’s not allowed: posting a live stream of a Bold Talk, and posting a picture on Facebook of one of our speakers after we announced taking pictures wasn’t allowed.
Now some important restrictions: you agree that you won’t use any recordings (1) in a way that is misleading or disparaging, (2) in a way that implies that the content of the recordings is your own, (3) for commercial purposes (this means, for example, you can’t sell them) or in a way that implies that we endorse, sponsor or approve of your business, services or products, or (4) in violation of applicable law or in connection with an obscene, indecent, or unlawful topic or material. If we request that you discontinue use of any recordings, you will immediately comply with our request. And of course, if we do notify you that recordings aren’t allowed, then you agree that you won’t take any recordings.
Now about recordings we can take: by attending INBOUND 2017 and related events, you consent to having your image, voice, likeness, presentation and/or other copyrightable material recorded, including video, audio, and still photography. We reserve the right to use recordings taken at INBOUND 2017 and related events however we might choose to, without giving you notice or any compensation. We might use them, for example, in our press releases, marketing materials or other publications.
SWEEPSTAKES AND CONTESTS
By registering for INBOUND 2017, you understand and agree that you may be entered into sweepstakes or contests. There are separate terms and conditions that apply to each of these sweepstakes and contests, so even if you’re entered, you may or may not be eligible to win. If you don’t want to be entered into any sweepstakes or contests, you can opt-out by sending a request in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
BEHAVIOR AND CONTENT
We want everyone to enjoy INBOUND 2017. So, we expect our attendees to act responsibly. If we (in our sole discretion) determine that you are behaving in a manner that is - or could be - disruptive to the event or other attendees, or violates our Code of Conduct or is in violation of these terms, then we can refuse to admit you to, or expel you from, the event. If we do, you aren’t entitled to a refund of fees paid. If you notify us of an individual who you believe is acting in a manner which violates our Code of Conduct or these terms, we will take your concern seriously but any action that we may or may not take will be at our sole discretion.
Drones are not allowed at the event. Hoverboards, rollerblades, rollerskates, skateboards or use of other forms of recreational transportation devices are also not allowed at the event. Of course, this section doesn’t restrict you from using any required assistive device (like, a wheelchair, walker, or motorized scooter) if needed due to a disability or injury. If you need any assistance getting around the event, please contact us at email@example.com, or ask an INBOUND representative on-site.
You’re invited - and indeed, encouraged - to meet and visit with all of the great companies who will be joining us as official sponsors and exhibitors at INBOUND 2017. But keep in mind that “suitcasing” or “outboarding” is strictly prohibited at INBOUND 2017.
The views or opinions expressed by any event attendee, speaker or sponsor are not necessarily our views or opinions. All event attendees, speakers and sponsors are responsible for their own content (including presentations, marketing collateral, advertising and online Web content). You are not allowed to use any content that infringes another’s intellectual property rights, is harassing, misleading, or unlawful.
We don’t want confusion about our event, so you agree that you won’t host any competing events during INBOUND 2017 and you won’t use HubSpot or the INBOUND name without our written permission first.
SECURITY AND SAFETY
We want everyone to be safe at INBOUND 2017, and we’re guessing you do too. By attending INBOUND 2017, you understand we might randomly check bags or other personal belongings, and you agree to not leave any of these unattended at any time. You also agree that you won’t bring anything to INBOUND 2017 that could cause a safety hazard. All security concerns should be reported to INBOUND 2017 staff immediately. Our security team may take whatever measures they deem appropriate without prior notice in order to aim to ensure the safety of attendees at INBOUND 2017. You must comply with the direction of our security team, as well as all rules and regulations of facility where the event is held that apply to attendees.
AGENDA AND LIABILITY
We might make updates to the agenda from time-to-time, which might include a change in speakers or cancellation of certain sessions. We can’t promise the attendance of any speaker and won’t refund fees paid based on changes to the agenda. We also can’t guarantee admission to any certain session, since all sessions are subject to capacity limits and availability.
INBOUND 2017 is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. If we are determined to have any liability to you, you agree our aggregate liability will be limited in all cases to one hundred dollars (US$100.)
